Great RPG for the Blackberry

I thought I would take a moment to show everyone a new RPG I picked up for my blackberry yesterday. I usually find most RPG's on the mobile platform to lack quality and playability, for example Might and Magic Mobile....what and awful game!

Heroes Lore for the Blackberry is something new! The game features a soundtrack with music for each level and town. You can choose from three different characters, each with there own story line. The controls on this game are amazing. You can perform COMBO shots by clicking on 5-7 or 7-9. Heroes Lore also features familiars which follow you around providing extra attacks or heals. And the game promises over 30 hours of game play!

So far I've completed 5 quests and I'm already at Level 9. I can't put this game DOWN!!!!!!

Here is a video:

Xbox Live Arcade News

Taken from Gameindustrynews.Biz

At the Game Developers Conference (GDC) 2008 today, Microsoft Corp. celebrated the success of its industry-leading Xbox LIVE Arcade platform with the inaugural Xbox LIVE Arcade Awards. In January, more than 26,000 people voted for their favourite Xbox LIVE Arcade games, and this week Microsoft announced the winners at a private developer reception at GDC.

The finalists in each award category were chosen by a panel of select industry journalists, and the winners for the first six categories were determined by popular vote, with the final four categories decided by sales and gameplay data, Metacritic score or staff vote. Following are the winners for each category:

Xbox LIVE Arcade Award Winners

Best Overall Arcade Game: Bomberman Live (Hudson Entertainment)
Best Classic Game: Castlevania: Symphony of the Night(Konami Digital Entertainment)
Best Original Game: Pac-Man: Championship Edition (NAMCO BANDAI Games)
Best Family-Friendly Game: Pac-Man: Championship Edition (NAMCO BANDAI Games)
Best Competitive Multiplayer Game: Bomberman Live? (Hudson Entertainment)
Best Cooperative Multiplayer Game: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Ubisoft Entertainment)
Best-Selling Game: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Ubisoft Entertainment)
Most-Played Game: Worms (Team17 Software Limited)
Highest-Rated Game: Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (Konami Digital Entertainment)
Xbox LIVE Arcade Staff Choice: Pac-Man: Championship Edition (NAMCO BANDAI Games)

The Xbox LIVE Arcade business is currently the strongest its ever been, thanks to the content provided by the diverse range of talented developers attached to the platform, said Marc Whitten, general manager of Xbox LIVE at Microsoft. The Game Developers Conference is the perfect venue to recognise the successes of Xbox LIVE Arcade developers, and as we move further into 2008, gamers can expect to see even more quality content land on Xbox LIVE Arcade.

Xbox LIVE Arcade is home to the worlds most innovative independent developers, with more than 25 independent studios serving as the creative fuel behind the original games that represent more than a quarter of the Xbox LIVE Arcade library.

In addition, the number of Xbox LIVE Arcade players has grown 145 percent since this time last year, and together players have logged more than 115 million gaming hours worldwide. The business as a whole has experienced a 150 percent year-over-year growth in unit sales.

With 14 Xbox LIVE Arcade games clocking in with a Metacritic score of 80 or higher and seven of those games available only on Xbox LIVE Arcade, the platform has established itself as the go-to source for quality pick-up-and-play gaming. There are currently more than 116 games available on Xbox LIVE Arcade, with new content added on Wednesdays.

Xbox Live Research by Derek

Derek posted me a message a few days ago regarding the best multiplayer player games on Xbox Live.

Here is a copy of the message. I'm placing it on Hitpointz for reference purposes. There are some great games mentioned here:

Derek says:
LOOK OVER THIS LIST. THESE ARE THE BEST GAMES OUT RIGHT NOW! I LOOKED OVER EVERY GAME RATING TO PICK SOME GAMES TO TARGET.
Derek says:
I added Table tennis since you have it already.
Derek says:
Only games that had a high ranking were looked at.
Derek says:
I also tried to avoid crappy first person shooters as we have enough of them
Derek says:
Keep a copy of this list. it took a long time to put toghether. These are the best upcoming games out there. They're ALL multiplayer as well
Derek says:
Dark Messiah: Elements - X360
http://www.gamerankings.com/htmlpages2/938088.asp

Burnout Paradise
http://www.gamerankings.com/htmlpages2/933706.asp

Rockstar Games presents Table Tennis
http://www.gamerankings.com/htmlpages2/932239.asp

LIVE ARCADE

Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo HD Remix
http://www.gamerankings.com/htmlpages2/939074.asp

Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords
Derek says:
Dark Messiah looks amazing! It's 32 players online. Made by ubisoft. Using half life engine.
Derek says:
Burnout paradise is also great. Racing but it's multi player online
Derek says:
BOTH THESE 2 ARE COMING OUT THIS MONTH
Derek says:
Table tennis I'll just get so we can play.
Derek says:
The last 2 are just high rated live arcade games.
Derek says:
I think we should really look at the first 2 games I suggested
Derek says:
Get back to me

Two Teens Kill 7-Year-Old Girl with Supposed Mortal Kombat Moves

Two teenagers have been charged with killing one of the pairs’ own 7-year-old sister using alleged Mortal Kombat imitation moves. The 16 and 17 year old teens were babysitting the child while the girl’s mother was at work when the incident happened.

The two teens reportedly hit, kicked and body-slammed the girl causing ā€œa broken wrist, more than 20 bruises, swelling of the brain, and bleeding in her neck muscles and under her spineā€, the affidavits have said. Prosecutors are claiming the teens were imitating ā€œwrestling movesā€ found in the Mortal Kombat video game. The 17 year old Roberts claimed he was downstairs at the time, drunk and playing video games but witnesses have told otherwise.
